Preparing for Osh Kosh!

I don't have much to write about this time but I figured I'd throw up a quick update since it's been a couple of weeks since I posted.

The plane is in need of an oil change so I haven't been flying it too much until I get it done.  I've taken a few local flights lately and I might take advantage of the summer fog and go up to shoot a few approaches in a couple of days.  I'm going to try and get the plane in for the oil change and hopefully some new spark plugs this week.

Next weekend we will be flying up to Oceano for a movie and to borrow a gps that provides weather information for our trip to Osh Kosh.  Other than that flight and a few more local flights I'm not really planning on doing a ton of flying before we leave for our trip.

I've also started to study for the written test needed to get my commercial license and I'm hopefully going to take the test before I leave for Osh Kosh.  I've just begun my flight planning for the trip and I'm starting to figure out all the charts I'm going to need for the trip. It's ~2000 miles and 6 or so states and at the end landing at the busiest airport in the world; a lot more complicated than any other trip I've ever taken, but I'm really looking forward to it, in fitting with the title of this blog, it should be quite an adventure!

Anyway that's all I have to say for now.  I'll probably write again in a week or so and update on the trip planning and hopefully to report passing my commercial written test.
